BSA Announces Industry Week for 2020

(BALTIMORE, MD) FEBRUARY 4, 2019 - The Business Solutions Association (BSA) confirmed its plans for an Industry Week for the fall of 2020.

Barry Lane (Avery Products), BSA President, said, “I am pleased to announce our plans to create a singular, dynamic annual event bringing together leaders within the office supplies industry for a week of insights, trends, best practices and collaboration.

Our industry has evolved and changed over the past few years as the market has become increasingly dynamic -- we want to be sure we are responding appropriately to the change and continually improving our value to the market. Listening to our dealer partners and industry leaders, we felt the time was right to look holistically at annual industry events to see if there was an opportunity to bring them together without losing the unique benefit each event offers.  We firmly believe the Office Products industry would benefit from a singular event designed to preserve the traditions, connections and business benefits each event offered attendees.”

“Over the past months, we have created a focused “Industry Point Team”, engaged key industry stakeholders and developed a new approach. One focused on the needs of the businesses, the inputs they require to be successful and the business outputs they expect. One that preserves the best part of each event and provides synergy in through consolidation. We are moving forward with an Office Products Industry Week -- this will be singular event where we can all come together and leverage our vast experience & resources. This event will be a destination for all industry leaders. Industry Week is this event and it will be brought to life in Q3 2020!”

BSA, the “Industry Week Point Team” and other industry stakeholders have been hard at work over the past several months. Their charge has been to review and evaluate the entire current industry event schedule, and develop a new, innovative approach.  The Point Team was tasked with creating value propositions for all industry partners with the emphasis on Cost Reduction, Eliminating Duplication and Optimizing Resources.

“This will be a high-value, fast-paced, one week combined-event that rolls 9 current industry events into one. Everyone benefits with Industry Week,” added Lane.

The following committees and Chairs have been appointed by the BSA Industry Week Point Team to plan the event.

BSA Executive Vice President Paula Kreuzburg says, “This event will be a wonderful opportunity for dealers to have a more effective and efficient approach to build their capabilities while constructing and enhancing their relationships within the industry. BSA intends to have Industry Week as the “one” destination for educations, knowledge and business relationships.

Exact dates and location are scheduled to be released by end of March 2019 at the conclusion of the BSA Board of Directors Meeting.
