SPR Announces New HQ and DC Plans

SPR Announces New HQ and DC Plans

(AUGUST 9, 2019) North American wholesaler S.P. Richards (SPR) is set to move to new headquarters in the coming weeks following last month’s fire which devastated its existing premises in Atlanta (GA).

The relocation to a new headquarters building at 4300 Wildwood Parkway, Atlanta will begin in a few weeks’ time, CEO Rick Toppin explained at this week’s Advantage Business Conference in San Diego (CA) and in an emailed statement.

The project will be carried out in phases and the goal is to have all SPR headquarters associates in the new office space by 1 November.

Toppin also announced that SPR will be rebuilding its Atlanta distribution center(DC) at 440 Interstate Parkway West, just a few miles from the former location. The Atlanta DC will be re-established on an interim basis in one of SPR’s current redistribution center buildings in the coming weeks before moving to the new, permanent location later this year.

“The Atlanta DC team is excited about moving into this new facility which, at nearly 500,000 sq ft (50,000 sq m), will be the largest building, not only within SPR, but across all Genuine Parts as well,” said Toppin. “We are moving fast and we continue to appreciate all the support that we have received from the industry.”(S.P.
