Essendant Creates Award to Honor Joe Templet

(SEPTEMBER 29, 2020) - Essendant has established an award to honor industry icon and long-time company employee, Joe Templet.

This award, formerly known as the Pinnacle Club, will be renamed the Joe Templet Legacy of Excellence Award. Presented annually, it recognizes leadership and outstanding performance within Essendant sales, operations and customer care.

Templet is now retired, but Essendant said his influence is continually felt. “Over his exceptional career, Joe has been a mentor and a motivating force to many. He is a model for what we should all aspire to,” the wholesaler wrote in a press release.

Essendant President Harry Dochelli added: “Joe brought hard work and dedication to all he did, driving Essendant forward and advancing our industry. His commitment, insight and positive energy earned him immense respect industry-wide from customers and colleagues. This [award] is a fitting tribute to remember all that he’s done.” (OPI)
