S.P. Richards Co. Announces Supplier of the Year Award Recipients

(AUGUST 24, 2021) - After an 18-month hiatus, SPR hosted its annual Supplier Summit and City of Hope Golf Tournament at the beautiful Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, FL. This year's Supplier of the Year Awards Dinner was a special event that recognized the industry's commitment to the City of Hope and honored our suppliers for their accomplishments during the past year. Nick Lomax, Sr. Vice President of JanSan, presided as master of ceremonies for the evening.

The dinner concluded with the presentation of the following awards:

Supply Chain Excellence was awarded to AEP/ZEP for their proactive communications and quick response in shipping inventory when requested to any of our Distribution Centers throughout the pandemic.

Innovation Excellence was awarded to Deflecto for their rapid development of acrylic countertop barriers, face shields, and signage that helped resellers provide their customers with what they needed to keep their staff safe and doing business. 

Marketing Digital Excellence went to Avery. Avery is a true leader in cross-manufacturer marketing. They take full advantage of all SPR Marketing programs with a clear, go-to-market strategy that adapted to the pandemic and the new realities of marketing in digital media.

The Outstanding Sales Professional award went to Phil Leckinger of Sourcing Partners. As Lindsay Eierman, VP of Supply Chain presented the award, she commented that "His unwavering support extended into long nights and weekends, finding sources of face masks and thermometers during the pandemic, clearing container after container of FDA-regulated products on our behalf and so much more. We celebrate his heart and partnership with this award."

The evening concluded with the Supplier of the Year for 2021 Award, which went to Kimberly-Clark Professional. Andy Clement, Chris Francis, and Anthony Cosentino accepted the award on behalf of the company. As he presented the award, Lomax commented, "Kimberly-Clark recognized the need for a strong relationship beyond top to top…they truly get out and engage with our teams in the field…which as we know is where it all happens."
