BSA Selects Bill Cardone to Receive Lifetime Achievement AwardFor its 2021 recipient of the “Lifetime Achievement” Award, the Business Solutions Association has selected Bill Cardone, VP of Sales for TOPS Products. This award recognizes an office products industry person who, during their lifetime has dedicated their career through personal and business accomplishments, to the industry. “Bill has invested his entire career in the office products Industry and has been a strong advocate for the importance and significance of American entrepreneurship, family businesses, the IDC and peer group. This industry is fortunate to have Bill as a champion for over 35 years and counting” said Travis Kaste, 3M Company, BSA President. “Bill is a one of a kind and truly embodies the characteristics of a Lifetime Achiever, and we are pleased to honor Bill with BSA’s Lifetime Achievement Award.” Bill started in the OP industry in 1987 with UPG, a division of Esselte Corporation as a field sales representative. In 1993 he was promoted to Midwest Regional Manager and moved to Chicago, eventually moving to National Accounts Manager for the IDC and buying groups. In 1998 Bill changed organizations and went to work for AT-A-GLANCE, where he was the Vice President of Commercial Sales. Bill spent 17 years at AAG, then through the merger with Westvaco and the eventual sale of the company to ACCO Brands. In 2015 Bill went to work at GOJO Industries. Bill was the Commercial Sales Director for GOJO's Office Channel. In 2018 Bill "went home" returning to TOPS Products which by then owned Pendaflex (renamed after the sale of Esselte Brands). Bill is currently Vice President of Commercial Sales. He is a City of Hope Hall of Famer and has been instrumental in all fundraising events through the IDC and wholesalers. He feels fortunate to have been mentored by great leaders such as Jeff Howard, David Williamson, Marlin Wendland, Steve Schultz, Mike Rowsey, Matt Roberts and Dave Garber during his career. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and doing hot yoga. |
