Welcome New BSA Member, Rayovac!
In 1906, Alfred Landau was modestly manufacturing 6 inch battery cells in a Chicago attic. After a young man by the name of James B. Ramsay took interest in the battery business, it was incorporated as the “The French Battery Company” and moved to Madison, WI. In 1934, the company's name changed to RAYOVAC®. Throughout the years, Rayovac would become intertwined with American history. We were in the cockpit with Lindbergh when he crossed the Atlantic, alongside American soldiers when they stormed the beaches of Normandy, and in space when NASA saved a dying satellite. Rayovac is a proud partner of the American Red Cross, having recently donated nearly $1,000,000 of product to help with relief efforts of Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, and Hurricane Maria. We continue to stay loyal to our humble beginnings by providing hardworking products at a fair price. |
